Catchphrase!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This is what I did in today's lesson! I thoroughly enojyed it! I thought it was pretty cool & I'm sure I'll be guilty of making plenty more silly animations in the future!

We also presented our wiki pages as groups to the class, which was interesting too, to see what everyone else had come up with!

Time to crack on with Andy's essay!

Wish me luck!

Education of the future!

Sooo last week we all continued to add to our Wiki page. Our group's topic was education of the future!

I did research into how the classrooms would look in 20 years time. This was quite difficult 'cause as the future is yet to happen, there were no facts or much information at all on the future of classrooms in education.

So after doing some research & watching a load of videos on youtube about it, I basically made up my own idea of future classrooms and then put this info on to our Wiki page. Rhiannon, Ed & Sara then added info to their own pages about different topics of ed in 20 years time!

I found it pretty interesting, yet frighting! God knows where Education will be in 20 years, or if it will exist at all.

I haven't started Andy's essay yet, so after my next blog now I think I might make myself a nice cuppa & try and make a move on it!

Research week? Reeeeeeeally?!

Sooooo I did nothing educational all week! Tell a lie, I did read over some handouts we've been given. Finally finished Sian's essay, which, I'll be honest, I struggled with a bit! But with some gudiance from a little friend I managed it :D.

I still have no idea what to do for visual comms project, but I'm very excited for when I do have an idea. I loveeeee projects & portfolios, so much fun to make!

Currently in my room having a little disco with Ed Sheeran singing my little heart out. On that note I will be leaving...... :)

Roger that!

Evaluation of presentation!

Shwmae :)

So basically last lesson we were put into groups & had to choose a topic, then choose a website to introduce our topic. I was put in a group with Rhi, Emily & Lydia. And our chosen topic was sign language because me, Rhi & Emily have all done Level 1 BSL. Lydia just went with the idea ha!

We each searched online for websites with information on sign language, then all choose a different website to look at then fed back our thoughts on the website & it's content. We then choose one website out of the four that we were going to use to present to the rest of the class.

We then looked at our chosen website in more depth. Some of the things we did & checked include:
  • Site colon
  • Easy who is
  • Copyright - Last updated
  • Pros & cons
  • Layout
  • Author of the website
  • Checked out any hyperlinks on the page
  • Compared the information with information from other sites to check it was valid
We then presented the website to the class & took any questions asked at the end as to why we chose that website, and our thoughts & opinions on the website etc.

I'd like to think it went pretty well and that we justified our choice of website very well!

That's all for now, see yaa!

P.s Less questions Matthew you nerd! : )

My first blog :D

I'm at Swansea Met doing Educational Studies, first year. I came here because one of my best friends is here doing it and she loves the course! I never wanted to teach until I had a job as a TA in a local primary, but I loved it so I decided to become a teacher. My parents are both working in education and they haven't done too bad so I'm gunna give it a shot!

I work with children with special needs as a part time job so hopefully I'll get a job in a special school if I pass!

I love sports, maths and sodoku! And that's pretty much it!

Laterssss!
